Join us as an Intellectual Property attorney shares with you what is required to obtain a U.S. patent. She will also discuss methods you can implement to make sure your patent is strong, how it can be defended if the situation arises, and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s pro bono patent program available to qualified inventors.

This class is targeted to small business owners wanting to obtain a patent for their invention and to those who have patents and want strategies to protect the patent.

Anne Culotta Anne’s practice is a one-stop shop for new product and service commercialization. Anne has experience in IP registrations, IP transactions, valuation and agreements, competitive analysis, and business planning and entity formation. Anne researches and publishes on what happens to intellectual property in financial distress and bankruptcy. Anne worked for ExxonMobil and Halliburton in a non-lawyer capacity and the University of Texas Medical Branch. Anne’s technical experience includes small molecule synthesis and characterization, fuel and lubricant additive development, oil field chemicals, rubber cure chemistry, polymer extrusion, statistical design of experiments, breathable, barrier and stretch film development. |
