Join us as an Intellectual Property attorney shares with you how to optimize the protection of your business, and you personally, with copyrights. She will address actions to take to steer clear of copyright violations, and if accused, some defensive steps to take. She will also discuss pro bono programs available to certain qualified individuals or businesses.

This workshop is designed for individuals, including authors, photographers, and small business owners interested in maximizing their options under U.S. Copyright Law, while minimizing their risks of liability for violating another’s copyright. Particular attention will be given to copyright issues in electronic media, including the internet.

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.

Anne Culotta Anne’s practice is a one-stop shop for new product and service commercialization. Anne has experience in IP registrations, IP transactions, valuation and agreements, competitive analysis, and business planning and entity formation. Anne researches and publishes on what happens to intellectual property in financial distress and bankruptcy. Anne worked for ExxonMobil and Halliburton in a non-lawyer capacity and the University of Texas Medical Branch. Anne’s technical experience includes small molecule synthesis and characterization, fuel and lubricant additive development, oil field chemicals, rubber cure chemistry, polymer extrusion, statistical design of experiments, breathable, barrier and stretch film development.
