Using FedBizOpps to Conduct Market Research and Locate Opportunities

9/10/2019
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Houston Center SBDC

Registration is no longer available.

Target Audience:

This workshop is intended for individuals who want to understand how to use FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) to conduct market research and locate solicitations to sell their goods and services to the federal government.

Workshop Description:

Conducting market research and locating government opportunities takes an understanding of how to use publically-available federal government systems.  FedBizOpps is a system you can use to conduct market research to locate agencies that may buy your goods and services.  You can also set up Search Agents to have the system automatically email you when an opportunity matches your search criteria.

In this hands-on workshop, we will show you how to use FedBizOpps to conduct market research to locate the federal government agencies that have purchased your goods and services in the past; as well as, show you how to locate current and future opportunities.

You will learn how to use the Advance Search function to conduct a one-time search to locate historical-purchase information.  We will also show you how to set up Search Agents, a feature of FedBizOpps that allows you to create saved searches, so that you receive automated email notices of opportunities.

Learning Objective:

Our objective is to teach you how to use FedBizOpps as a market research tool to locate historical purchases and to understand how to put the system to work for you by setting up Search Agents to receive automated email notices.
